Complementary Therapies

At the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre we offer a wide range of complementary therapies to support people affected by cancer.

Complimentary therapies may help you:

  • with some of your cancer symptoms
  • with some of the side effects of your cancer treatment
  • feel better and improve your quality of life
  • feel less stressed, tense and anxious
  • sleep better
  • feel more in control.

One-to-one therapies

Manual Lymph Drainage

A specialised gentle massage for patients with Lymphoedema, a condition which may result from surgery to radiotherapy.


Reflexology involves certain pressure points in teh feet veing massaged to improve symptom control and to produce a state of deep inner relaxation.

Holistic Massage

Massage is a form of touch it can be used to relax your mind and body relieve tension and enhance your mood.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a deeply relaxing and calming therapy that works on the areas affected by mental and emotional stress.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle yet powerful form of treatment which can release the deeply held patterns of disease both physical and psychological – which accumulate throughout life.


Reiki is a healing  technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the pateint’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.


Aromatherapy massage is the practice of using natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.
